Thank you so much!

To Yamathon participants and volunteers,

The IVG would first like to thank you all for making our fourth Yamathon so unbelievably successful. In total there were 73 teams and 263 people who participated in the Tokyo Yamathon. 46 teams managed to finish in 12 hours or less. We also raised over 600,000JPY and 100% of all funds raised will go to help alleviate the food crisis in the Sahel region of Central and Western Africa. More information of where the money will go can be found here: http://www.oxfam.org/en/sahel

This total doesn’t include the extra amounts that many of you were able to raise in sponsorship, so the actual amount raised will be considerably higher. If your team managed to raise extra sponsorship money that we've not included then please now give it directly to Oxfam Japan (http://oxfam.jp/en/donate/) remembering to quote “Yamathon” and your team number. Please let us know that you've done so, so we can update the records on our website.

The official finishing times have now been uploaded and you can see where your team finished in the ranking here: http://bit.ly/YamathonFastestTeams

You can also see where you finished in terms of the fundraising ranking here: http://bit.ly/YamathonTopFundraiser

And that is all from quite an unbelievable Tokyo Yamathon 2012. For more of our events please visit www.ivgjapan.org. For any further questions regarding the Yamathon, if you would like to get involved and help organise the event, or if you have a query regarding event sponsorship please contact Joe Pournovin on This email address is being protected from spambots.
