For the first time, IVG- Japan and the Tokyo Yamathon is offering an official merchandise T-shirt — designed to capture the spirit of Tokyo, the challenge of the Yamathon, and the impact we make together.
And because this is the Yamathon, we couldn't just make another event T-shirt.
Retro Tokyo Meets the Ultimate Urban Challenge
The 2026 design takes a playful trip back to the nostalgic days of Japanese heroes such as Magma Taishi and Ultraman, with our own classic robot taking on the streets of Tokyo.
Look a little closer and you'll see the story.
The robot is kicking through the zero, breaking it apart as a symbol of taking on — and crushing — the Yamanote Line loop.
Turn the shirt around and the story continues.
The back design takes the form of the robot's giant footprint and step imprint, representing the mark left behind after taking on the challenge. Incorporated into the design are the 30 stations of the Yamanote Line, connecting the artwork directly to the route that makes the Tokyo Yamathon unique.
It's fun, it's a little nostalgic, and it captures what the Yamathon is all about:
