Question: How much does it cost to participate in the Tokyo Yamathon, and where does the fees I pay go?
Answer: The cost to participate in the Tokyo Yamathon is a 14,000 yen donation, with an additional RUNNET platform registration fee per team. ( fees may vary with your choice of registration language )
As for where the fees go, all funds raised through the Tokyo Yamathon directly support our Benefiting Organizations. This year, the funds ( 100% ) will assist organizations dedicated to environmental conservation, providing hospice care for children, and empowering young women in tech.
It's also important to note that our entire planning organization team at IVG-Japan is made up of uncompensated volunteers.
We do this work as an effort to make our community a better place. Your participation not only supports these meaningful causes but also contributes to the collective effort of volunteers committed to making a positive impact.
