Seibo: Creating Lasting Change Through Food, Education, and Opportunity

At the heart of Tokyo Yamathon is the idea that small actions can come together to create something much bigger. It is about community, connection, and supporting work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
For 2026, we are proud to welcome Seibo as one of our Community Impact Partner NPOs.
Seibo is a Japan-based nonprofit with a clear and powerful mission. They work to reduce poverty by building sustainable systems that connect food, education, and economic opportunity. Their approach is thoughtful and practical, focusing on long-term solutions rather than short-term aid.

Much of their work takes place in Malawi, where they partner with local communities to create school feeding programs that are directly linked to local farmers. This means that children receive nutritious meals at school, while farmers gain stable and reliable income.
It is a simple idea, but the impact is far-reaching.
When children have access to regular meals, they are better able to attend school, focus on learning, and grow in a healthy environment. At the same time, farmers are supported in a way that allows them to provide for their families and invest in their future. Communities become stronger, more connected, and more resilient.

What makes Seibo’s work especially meaningful is the way everything is connected. They are not just addressing one issue at a time. They are creating systems that support entire communities and allow them to move forward together.

This kind of impact reflects what Yamathon stands for.
Tokyo Yamathon is not only about the challenge itself. It is about bringing people together with a shared purpose and using that energy to support meaningful causes. Every step taken helps shine a light on organizations like Seibo and the important work they are doing.
Our partnership with Seibo is built on shared values of community, sustainability, and creating lasting change.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are proud to stand alongside Seibo and support their work.
